TCS partners with Sastra University

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, has partnered with Thanjavur based Sastra university to establish a Teacher's Training Centre at the University. The objective of the program is to familiarize the school teachers with emerging digital-based teaching methods and reinforce the value of teaching as a profession.

More than 2,000 school teachers from various educational institutes across tier 2 and tier 3 cities in Tamil Nadu will be trained at the institute. This will not only help in providing an orientation to conventional and contemporary pedagogy, but will also offer insights on various class room management tools, development of communication skills and development of applications that will add value to existing pedagogical transactions. Additionally, it will also facilitate the evaluation of the effectiveness of the training programme.
