Shree Renuka Sugars turns black in Q2FY17

Shree Renuka Sugars has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The company has reported a net profit of Rs 2.5 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to a net loss of Rs 151.2 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company's total income increased by 107.05% to Rs 2049.80 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 990 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Shree Renuka Sugars is a global agribusiness and bio-energy corporation. The company is one of the largest sugar producers in the world, the leading manufacturer of sugar in India, and one of the largest sugar refiners in the world.
