Maruti Suzuki, HSIL and Viaan Industries to see some action today

Maruti Suzuki India's (MSI) popular entry level Alto was the best selling model last month. It sold 20,346 units in December 2017 as against 17,351 units a year ago, a growth of 17.26 per cent. According to the data compiled by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), MSI's hold on domestic Passenger Vehicles (PV) market continued in December with six of its models appearing in the top 10 selling list and its premium hatchback Baleno moving up to the third spot. The company's new compact sedan Dzire was at second position with 18,018 units. The previous version Dzire Tour had sold 14,643 units in December 2016. MSI's premium hatchback Baleno was at the third position with sales of 14,551 units last month as against 9,486 units a year ago, up 53.39 per cent.

HSIL has launched new product 'TRUFLO by Hindware' under UPVC and CPVC plumbing pipes category. The company has launched the product in domestic market on January 22, 2018. The product will be primarily sourced from newly constructed pipes plant currently under trial production in the state of Telangana.

Genus Paper & Boards has taken on lease a Kraft paper manufacturing facility for 5 years with effect from January 22, 2018. The facility is located at Kashipur, Uttarakhand and has manufacturing capacity of 75,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA). It is an operational plant and the leasing would help to start production on immediate basis and cater to the demand of existing clients of the company.

Dwarikesh Sugar Industries has issued Commercial Papers (CPs) of Rs 35 crore. The tenure of the instrument is 59 days and was allotted on January 23, 2018. The coupon/interest will be paid upfront at the rate of 7.75% per annum and the paper will mature on March 23, 2018.  The aggregate amount of CPs outstanding as on date is Rs 250 crore.
