LIC Housing Finance to raise Rs 1000 crore

LIC Housing Finance, one of the largest housing finance companies in India, is planning to raise Rs 1,000 crore by selling the masala bonds (a rupee-denominated bond) in the international market. The bond issue will help LIC Housing to diversify its borrowing profile and attract a global pool of capital.

LIC Housing Finance is one of the largest Housing Finance Company in India. The main objective of the company is providing long term finance to individuals for purchase or construction of house or flat for residential purpose / repair and renovation of existing flat / houses.
