Hindalco Industries reports 43% rise in Q1 net profit

Hindalco Industries has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2018.

The company has reported 42.84% rise in its net profit at Rs 413.53 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 289.51 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company marginally increased by 0.28% at Rs 10,698.68 crore for Q1FY19 as compared Rs 10,668.63 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Hindalco Industries is an industry leader in aluminium and copper. The company's aluminium units across the country encompass the entire gamut of operations from bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting to downstream rolling, extrusions, foils and alloy wheels, along with captive power plants and coal mines.
