Cipla, a global pharmaceutical company, and the product development partnership Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) has launched 100 mg Artesunate Rectocaps/Rectal Artesunate Suppositories (RAS), a life-saving, pre-referral intervention for the management of severe malaria in young children. Cipla's RAS product contains 100 mg of Artesunate and is indicated in children from 6 months to 6 years. It was developed with the support of MMV (with UNITAID financing) and will now soon be available in four sub-Saharan countries.
Suzlon Group, one of the leading global renewable energy solutions provider in the world, has won an order of 50.40 MW wind power project from Riyadh based Alfanar Group. This is a maiden order from Alfanar, for 24 units of S111-90m wind turbine generator, each with a rated capacity of 2.1 MW. The project will be completed by March 2018. Suzlon will execute the entire project on a turnkey basis and will also provide operation and maintenance services. The project has the potential to provide power to over 27,000 households and reduce 0.10 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum.
TD Power Systems has received an order from a large European multinational company (MNC) in India for manufacture & supply of certain components (Product) of traction motors used in Electric Locomotives to be supplied to Indian Railways by the MNC. The total order value is about Rs 750 crore to be supplied over 10 years starting from 2018. The MNC will also provide the required technology for manufacture of the Product under License through its Affiliate Company.

Aro Granite Industries (AGIL) is in the process of installation of one multi-wire saw machine for cutting of granite and quartzite. The installation will be completed within next three months and production will start thereafter. After the installation, the installed capacity of the granite slabs will be increased by 1,50,000 square meters and the installed capacity of the slab plant will be increased to 7,35,000 square meters from the existing 5,85,000 square meters taking the overall installed capacity to 10,95,000 square meters including tiles processing facilities. The addition of the multi wire will enable us to process quartzite (an extremely compact, hard, granular rock - which is harder than granite but more fragile) which we were not able to process before.
