Bajaj Auto reports 23% rise in March sales

Bajaj Auto has registered a rise of 23% in total sales to 3,34,348 units in March 2018 against 2,72,197  units in March 2017. The company's total exports out of the above stood at 1,30,748 units, a gain of 27% as compared to 1,02,918 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

The sales of the motorcycles increased by 11% and stood at 2,69,939 units in the month under review against 2,44,235 units in March 2017. The company has reported 130% jump in commercial vehicles sales, which stood at 64,409 units as compared to 27,962 units in month of March 2017.

Bajaj Auto is world's fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
