Maruti Suzuki Has Launched Five New Models With CNG Option (13-Aug-2010)

India’s leading vehicle maker, Maruti Suzuki has launched five new models with CNG option, including its best-seller Alto. Apart from Alto Lxi, the company has also launched CNG versions of Estilo, WagonR, Eeco and SX4. In the beginning,the CNG versions of the five models would be available in Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat.
Maruti Suzuki’s CNG vehicles Alto Lxi is priced at Rs 3.23 lakh, Maruti’s mid-sized sedan SX4 Vxi has been priced at Rs 7.47 lakh. The Estilo Lxi with alternate fuel option will come for Rs 4.05 lakh, while the WagonR Lxi for Rs 4.11 lakh and Eeco 5- seater AC will be available for Rs 3.64 lakh.
Earlier in this month, the company had launched another version of Brand Alto, equipped with a K-series, 998 cc engine. This version called -- Alto-K10 -- comes with improved suspension, new cable-type transmission, superior brake system and more Knee-room for rear seat passengers.
Maruti Suzuki India’s net profit has plunged by 20.25% to Rs 465.36 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 583.54 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. Its total income has grown by 24.17% from Rs 6709.53 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 to Rs 8331.73 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010.
