CM Gets The Feel Of Metro In Delhitimes News Network (25-Jul-2010)

NEW DELHI/HYDERABAD: As the state government prepares to introduce metro rail in Hyderabad, chief minister K Rosaiah travelled on the Delhi metro on Sunday to get a first-hand experience of the new age transport system.
Rosaiah who is in New Delhi on an official visit travelled on the metro from Central Secretariat to Patel Chowk via Rajiv Chowk and Karol Bagh.
Speaking to the media later, the chief minister said that his government will make all efforts to see that the metro rail project would be completed on time. The positive practises of the Delhi Metro Rail project would be implemented while executing the Hyderabad project. Larsen & Toubro will be able to complete the project as per the schedule, the CM exuded confidence. The successful bid process of Hyderabad metro came for special appreciation during the National Development Council meeting in Delhi.
Accompanied by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation directors Mangu Singh, Raj Kumar and other senior officials, the CM had a glimpse of the Delhi Metro Rail museum.
He also went around the Rajiv Chowk underground metro station and enquired about the transport system. During his tour he got to know from DMRC officials the functioning of metro trains and how the stations are maintained.
The chief minister also interacted with some of the passengers who came and spoke to him after spotting him at the station which is one of the busiest in the capital.
