MFs Stand As Net Buyers In Equities On August 19 SEBI (22-Aug-2010)
Mutual Funds (MFs) made investments worth Rs 739.90 crore and sold off Rs 721.20 crore worth of equities on August 19, 2010, according to data released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Thus, MFs stood as net buyers of Rs 18.70 crore in equities on that day.
In the month of August, MFs have made total investments of Rs 9142.2 crore and sold off Rs 10624.401 crore worth of equities, so far.
In the debt segment, MFs neither made any investments nor did they sell anything on August 19, as per the details available with SEBI.
Further, MFs have poured in total Rs 22534.602 crore and have taken out Rs 18370.299 crore in debt market for the month of August, so far.
