Larsen And Toubro Infotech To Revive Its IPO Plans (10-Feb-2010)
L&T Infotech stated that it has started thinking about reviving plans for its initial public offer (IPO) but gave no time-frame for it.
L&T Infotech's CEO, Sudip Banerjee said that they have started thinking about the IPO once again, but they cannot give you a date (for the IPO).
However, he said that the company would focus on strengthening its business in India more than in foreign markets.
L&T Infotech is bidding for all kinds of projects in both the public and private sector.
Meanwhile, these are typical deals in the range of Rs 5-25 crore while they are bidding for all kinds of projects in railways, power and education.
It is also actively looking at acquisitions and is betting big on business from the BFSI segment in markets like South Africa and the Middle-East.
ON the other hand, in South Africa, they have tied-up with some financial service providers and will be expanding and adding up more financial services customers.
