DQE Raises Rs 257 Million Through Pre IPO Placement (23-Feb-2010)

DQ Entertainment (International) Ltd, the animation and gaming firm, said yesterday that Rs 256.9 million has been raised by the company through a pre-IPO placement of shares for its 19.8 million issue.
Rs 200 million has been allotted to IDFC while the rest was taken up by the other corporates as well as high networth individuals, it said in a press release.
DQE has filed a red herring prospectus with the registrar of companies, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, and is in the process of offering its equity shares at a price to be determined through the 100% book-building process.
The equity shares of the company are proposed to be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange Limited (BSE).
The company had filed for a regulatory application to raise money via initial public offering of shares in September and is waiting for the approval of the market regulator.
DQE has produced/co-produced and distributed brands like Iron Man - the first 3D animated TV series as well as Twisted Whiskers, Casper, third season of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and is now producing properties like Little Prince and Little Nicolas.
The arranger for the issue is SBI Capital Markets.
