Bajaj Auto planning to foray into electric vehicles next year

Bajaj Auto is planning to foray into electric vehicles (EV) next year, simultaneously with the migration of its conventional engine vehicles to BS-VI emission norms.

The company also plans to launch electric version of its quadricycle Qute along with electric three wheelers next year.

Bajaj Auto is world's fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
