Wipro Infrastructure Sets Foot In China
Wipro Infrastructure Engineering is the global hydraulics business of Wipro.

It has signed an agreement with Wujin Hi-tech Industrial Zone in Changzhou, China.

The agreement is signed in order to set up a facility for the manufacture of high-pressure precision hydraulic cylinders and tipping systems.

Meanwhile, previously, Wipro Ltd posted a 20.77% growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 12091 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 10011 million reported during the quarter ended March 31, 2009.

Moreover, the total income has surged by 8.26% to to Rs 71099 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 65673 million reported during the quarter ended March 31, 2009.

While for the year ended March 2010, the Group has posted a growth of 18.5% in net profit to Rs 45931 million as compared to Rs 38761 million for the year ended March 31, 2009.

The total Income has increased from Rs 260396 million for the year ended March 31, 2009 to Rs 275601 million for the year ended March 31, 2010.

While on a standalone basis, Wipro has posted a significant growth of 46.85% in net profit to Rs 12367 million as against Rs 8421 million reported during the quarter ended March 31, 2009.

Along with this, the total Income has increased from Rs 53966 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 to Rs 62674 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2010.

While for the fiscal ended March 2010, the company has posted a growth of 64.7% in net profit to Rs 48980 million as against Rs 29738 million for the year ended March 31, 2009.

The total income has increased from Rs 214714 million for the year ended March 31, 2009 to Rs 236063 million for the year ended March 31, 2010.

Meanwhile, the company''s board has recommended a final dividend of (300%) at Rs. 6 per equity share of par value Rs. 2/- each.

On the top of this, the company has announced bonus issue of two shares for every three shares held (2:3).
