Nakoda gears up for green energy investment (02-Sep-2010)
Nakoda, is all set to commence its Wind Power Project in Madhya Pradesh (MP), for which it is planning an investment of Rs 32.92 crore, out of which 23 crore will be funded through debt and the balance will be accrued from internal resources.The company for this proposes to acquire Wind Mills from Global Wind Power (GWPL), a company floated by reliance ADAG group.
The company after commencing wind power project would also enter into a power purchase agreement with MP Electricity board to supply around 112 lakh unit per year at the rate of 4.35 per unit for 13 years.
The proposed wind power plant which will be set up at Jethana, District-Ratlam, MP would have 7 turbines with a capacity of 750KW each aggregating to 5.25 MW. Further, after commissioning of the new machines, the company’s wind power capacity will increase from existing 6.75 MW to 12 MW.
