Apollo Hospitals to invest Rs 1 800 cr for its business expansion (09-Jul-2010)
Chennai-based healthcare major Apollo Hospitals Enterprise is planning to expand its business. In this regard, it will invest Rs 1,800 crore to increase its bed capacity to 12,000 from the current 9,000 in the coming three-four years.
Moreover it is also looking to increase its workforce for the expansion plan. At present, the company has a team member of 62,000 and will add about 23,000 more people in its team.
The company reported a marginal increase of 0.20% in its net profit at Rs 29.20 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 29.14 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2009.
