English Translation:

By next month, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is expected to announce draft guidelines on the compensation packages of the private sector bank chiefs. However, the signals are that the draft paper will be out by March and will aim at putting a framework in the way banks compensate their CEOs and other top executives. The RBI Governor D Subbarao had said that it was working on the principles outlined in the Financial Stability Board for sound compensation. He also said that it will come out with norms in order to ensure healthy practices in compensation policies of private and foreign banks. They said that it was a not positive sign in a healthy financial system.
