Fighting food inflation is top priority- President : खाना मुद्रास्फीति से लड़ना उच्च प्राथमिकता है - राष्ट्रपति : 23rd February

सरकार ने कहा कि उसकी उच्च प्राथमिकता भोजन की कीमतों में वृद्धि को घटा कर "आम आदमी" को राहत प्रदान करना होगा। यह भी आश्वासन दिया कि अर्थव्यवस्था 2009-10 में 7.5% से वृद्धि करेगी और आने वाले वित्तीय वर्ष में भी 8% की एक उच्च गति से वृद्धि होगी। हालाँकि, कल राष्ट्रपति प्रतिभा पाटिल ने संसद के संयुक्त सत्र को संबोधित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि उनकी सरकार को खाद्य कीमतों पर आम आदमी को राहत सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सबसे अधिक महत्व प्रदान जारी है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि उनकी सरकार के आगे एक कानून को खाद्य सुरक्षा की सुविधा लाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। अर्थव्यवस्था के बारे में, उन्होंने कहा कि चालू वित्त वर्ष मे विकास का 7.5% अनुमान है जोकि पिछले साल पहले की अपेक्षा 6.7% थी।

English Translation:

The government stated that its top priority will be to offer respite to ''aam admi'' from increasing food prices. It also assured that the economy would grow by 7.5% in 2009-10 and at an even higher speed of 8% in the coming fiscal. However, yesterday, President Pratibha Patil addressed the joint session of Parliament. She said that her government continues to accord the highest importance to ensuring relief to the aam admi on food prices. She also said that her government is committed to bringing forth a legislation to facilitate food security. Regarding the economy, she said that the growth in the current fiscal was expected to be 7.5% against 6.7% a year ago.
