नवीन और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा (MNRE) के मंत्रालय ने हाल ही में 2012 तक 20,000 करोड़ रुपए के निवेश पर राष्ट्रीय सौर मिशन को मंजूरी के क्रियान्वयन के लिए योजना को अंतिम रूप दिया।
हालांकि, यह कहा है कि अगले 3 वर्षों में, वे सौर ऊर्जा के 1,300 Mw बढ़ जाएगा, ग्रिड और गैर ग्रिड सहित 20,000 Mw सौर शक्ति के प्रथम चरण के रूप में 2022 से।

English Translation:
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) finalized the roadmap for execution of the recently-approved National Solar Mission till 2012 at an investment of Rs 20,000 crore.
Howver, it said that in the next 3 years, they will add 1,300 Mw of solar energy, including grid and non-grid, as the first phase of the 20,000 Mw solar power by 2022.
Meanwhile, based on the experience of the first phase they will finalize the next phases for implementation.
Further, it said that the Clinton Foundation, of former US President Bill Clinton, would construct 2 solar thermal power projects of 3000 MW each in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
