हालांकि, मुचुअल फंड में अगस्त 2009 में कुल 592.10 करोड़ के शेयर ख़रीदे गए जबकि मुचुअल फंड में जुलाई 2009 को कुल 1825.50 करोड़ के शेयर ख़रीदे गए थे।

Lower than Rs 83.90 crore on 26 August 2009, mutual funds (MFs) bought shares worth a net Rs 16.80 crore on 27 August 2009 where MFs' net inflow of Rs 16.80 crore on 27 August 2009 was a result of gross purchases Rs 1297 crore and gross sales Rs 1280.20 crore while the BSE Sensex rose up 11.22 points or 0.07% to 15,781.07 on that day.
However, MFs bought shares worth a net Rs 592.10 crore in August 2009 whereas MFs had bought shares worth a net Rs 1825.50 crore in July 2009.
