अदानी पावर ने जुलाई के अंत तक अपनी आरंभिक सार्वजनिक पेशकश को लॉन्च करने की योजना बनाई है। कंपनी ने आईपीओ के लिए पूंजी बाजार नियामक की अनुमति प्राप्त की है। इससे पहले कंपनी ने सितंबर 2008 में बाजार में उथलपुथल की वजह से अपने आईपीओ की योजना को टाल दिया था।

कंपनी ने अपनी ड्राफ्ट रेड हेरिंग सूचीपत्र में 2200 करोड़ रुपए एकत्रित किए, लेकिन सूत्रों का कहना है इस मुद्दे का आकार 3000 करोड़ रुपये करने के लिए उठाया जा सकता है। परिणामस्वरूप आईपीओ ने रिलायंस पावर (आर-पावर) को फरवरी के पिछले वर्ष के बाद आईपीओ पहला बड़ा मुद्दा बनाने की योजना बनाई।

हालांकि कंपनी ने आईपीओ के जरिए 330 करोड़ रूपये की इक्विटी शेयरों की पेशकश कर रहा है, सूत्रों के अनुसार कर्मचारियों ने 90 रूपये के एक हिस्से में सदस्यता का समर्थन किया। इसके रूप में प्राथमिक बाजार में एक साल से भी अधिक की कमी के बाद अदानी पावर ने आईपीओ बाजार के भावो का परिक्षण किया।

Adani Power has planned to launch its initial public offer by the end of July. The company has received the capital market regulator's permission for the IPO. Earlier, the company had postponed its IPO in September 2008 due to market turmoil.

The company had required to raise Rs 2,200 crore in its draft red herring prospectus, but sources said the issue size could be raised to Rs 3,000 crore. Consequently it will make the IPO the first big issue after the Reliance Power (R-Power) IPO in February last year.

While the company is offering 330 million equity shares through the IPO, sources said employees would be able to subscribe at Rs 90 a share. The Adani Power IPO will be a test of market sentiments, as it comes after a dearth of more than a year in the primary market.
