The markets today opened on a negative note in line with the Asian peers. The significant selling witnessed among the broader market stoscks. The broader indices today underperformed the benchmark index as the BSE Mid Cap is now trading with a loss of of more than 1% and the BSE Small Cap with a cut of more than 2%. The Auto, Realty and Power stocks remained in pressure in the early trade. However, IT, Metal and Banking stocks are witnessing some buying interest.

The BSE Sensex is trading up by 106.41 points or (0.73%) at 14,772.33 and the NSE Nifty is trading higherby 18.65 points or (0.42%) at 4,448.85.

The BSE Mid Cap decreased by 66.72 points or (1.30%) to 5,048.13 and the BSE Small Cap fell 148.92 points or (2.45%) to 5,934.96.

The Overall market breadth is positive as 338 stocks are advancing while 1543 stocks are declining and the 22 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
