Welspun Corp advances on bagging order for supply of 100K MTs pipes (21-Jul-2017)

Welspun Corp is currently trading at Rs. 117.20, up by 2.85 points or 2.49% from its previous closing of Rs. 114.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 115.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 117.35 and Rs. 114.65 respectively. So far 12,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 117.35 on 21-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 56.00 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 117.35 and Rs. 106.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3,095.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 48.25%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.10% and 36.64% respectively.

Welspun Corp has won orders from a customer in India for supply of 100K MTs pipes for water projects in India. With the addition of this order, current order book of the company has crossed 699 K MTs worth Rs 4,200 crore.

Welspun Corp is currently in four businesses viz Line Pipes, Energy, Infrastructure & Steel and enjoys a global leadership position in the first two businesses. It may be recalled that Welspun Corp is already in advanced stages of demerging the parts of its business other than Line Pipes into Welspun Enterprises through a court process.
