VA Tech Wabag trades high on reporting decent Q1 numbers

VA Tech Wabag is currently trading at Rs. 585.40, up by 1.10 points or 0.19% from its previous closing of Rs. 584.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 579.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 595.00 and Rs. 577.00 respectively. So far 6183 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 775.10 on 18-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 409.30 on 01-Mar-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 595.00 and Rs. 568.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3190.62 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 28.94%, while institutions and non-institutions held 52.09% and 18.97% respectively.

VA Tech Wabag has registered 4.98% fall in its net profit at Rs 17.49 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 16.66 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 1.47% at Rs 260.22 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 256.45 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a net profit after taxes, Minority interest and share of profit/(loss) of associates of Rs 5.19 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to a net loss of Rs 9.79 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total Income of the company increased by 27.38% to Rs 580.25 crore for quarter under review from Rs 455.52 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.
