VA Tech Wabag surges on the BSE

VA Tech Wabag is currently trading at Rs. 610.80, up by 12.50 points or 2.09% from its previous closing of Rs. 598.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 601.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 615.00 and Rs. 601.70 respectively. So far 10616 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 749.00 on 21-Jun-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 449.95 on 23-Dec-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 615.00 and Rs. 577.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3327.33 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 24.73%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 51.27% and 24.01% respectively.

VA Tech Wabag has won a Rs 386 crore Design, Build and Operate order from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) for a 150 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at K&C Valley in Bengaluru.

The company will design and build this plant to meet the recent stringent guidelines of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) policy mechanism. The plant will be designed based on Activated Sludge Process with Biological Nutrient Removal System and Power Generation. Post construction of the STP, the company will also operate and maintain the plant for a period of 10 years.

VA Tech Wabag is an India-based company engaged in the business of water treatment field. The company's principal activities include design, supply, installation, construction and operational management of drinking water, waste water treatment, industrial water treatment and desalination plants.
