TVS Motor Company advances on plans of finalizing partnership with BMW

TVS Motor Company is currently trading at Rs 40.85, up by 0.75 points or 1.87% from its previous closing of Rs 40.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 40.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs 41.40 and Rs 40.50 respectively. So far 262138 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Re 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 59.45 on 05-Dec-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 31.90 on 04-Jun-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 41.40 and Rs 37.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 1952.61 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.40% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.54% and 23.07% respectively.

Chennai-based TVS Motor is likely to finalize the partnership with BMW for collaboration in two-wheelers before end of this fiscal. The company is in talks with BMW and it aims to gain technology for introducing high-end motorcycles through this partnership.

The entity has launched Phoenix, its latest model in 125 cc executive bike segment, priced between Rs 49,990 and Rs 52,000. The overall executive motorcycle segment is about four lakh units a month in India now.
