Tata Power trades higher on the bourses

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 71.40, up by 2.55 points or 3.70% from its previous closing of Rs. 68.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 70.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 71.45 and Rs. 68.90 respectively. So far 364194 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 101.75 on 05-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 59.90 on 09-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 72.15 and Rs. 59.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 19176.84 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.03% and 14.90% respectively.

Tata Power has inaugurated its second 'All Women' Customer Relations Centre (CRC) in Borivali (East), Mumbai, with an aim to continue providing their talented and highly skilled women employees with new avenues for growth and development.

The new centre will be entirely managed by a team of 10 women personal. All the functions at the CRC including security will be handled by women. The move is a testament of Tata Power's vision to strengthen economic diversification for the company, influencing the employability and empowerment of the local women. The centre is an ideal platform for the company's women employees to showcase their ability to independently manage and operate a full-fledged Customer Relations Centre.

Tata Power is India's largest integrated power company with a growing international presence. The company together with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities has presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. Fuel Security and Logistics, Generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), Transmission, Distribution and Trading.
