Sun Pharmaceutical moves up on the bourses

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries is currently trading at Rs. 597.60, up by 6.95 points or 1.18% from its previous closing of Rs. 590.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 590.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 603.50 and Rs. 588.80 respectively. So far 139019 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 678.80 on 06-Sep-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 434.80 on 22-May-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 619.25 and Rs. 582.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 142903.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.38%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.98% and 12.64% respectively.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries is going to invest an additional Rs 200 crore at its Assam plant to augment operations. The company has already invested Rs 700 crore in this manufacturing facility.

Besides, the company has inaugurated a new production line at its facility in Palashbari.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries is the world's fourth largest specialty generic pharmaceutical company and India's top pharmaceutical company.
