SRF gains on receiving green nod for Rs 4,800 crore expansion project at Dahej

SRF is currently trading at Rs. 2022.60, up by 15.85 points or 0.79% from its previous closing of Rs. 2006.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2016.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2045.00 and Rs. 2010.00 respectively. So far 11,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2045.00 on 15-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1420.00 on 09-Aug-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2045.00 and Rs. 1929.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 11,614.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.38%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.49% and 17.13% respectively.

SRF has received green nod for expansion of its specialty chemicals, pesticide and fluoro chemicals manufacturing plant at Dahej in Gujarat, which will entail an investment of Rs 4,800 crore. The company wants to increase the production capacity of specialty chemicals, pesticide and fluro chemicals from 1,75,000 tonnes per annum to 5,87,177 tonnes per annum and captive power plant capacity from 25 MW to 75 MW at Dahej.

SRF is a leader in refrigerants, engineering plastics and industrial yarns in India. The company also manufactures polyester films and fluoro specialties. Besides India, SRF has a presence in Dubai, South Africa and Thailand.
