Omkar Speciality surges on receiving patent for Alkali Metal Iodide products

Omkar Speciality Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 77.55, up by 5.15 points or 7.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 72.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 73.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 82.05 and Rs. 72.25 respectively. So far 1,08,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 120.05 on 14-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 68.00 on 19-Jan-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 82.05 and Rs. 71.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 159.48 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 27.64%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.50% and 71.85% respectively.

Omkar Speciality Chemicals has been granted patent by Intellectual Property India, The Government of India Patent Office, for Alkali Metal Iodide products. This is the sixth patent granted to the company and is the biggest reward in the start of New Year.

Further, six more patents applications filed for other products are also pending for grant. The total number of patents granted to the company in last four years stands at 6 with six more patent pending applications for other products.

Omkar Speciality Chemicals is one of the leading players in the manufacturing of Speciality Chemicals and Veterinary APIs. The company manufactures a range of Organic, Inorganic and Organo Inorganic Intermediates.
