HEG trades jubilantly on receiving patent for 'High Performance Graphite Nipple' production

HEG is currently trading at Rs. 481.00, up by 29.85 points or 6.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 451.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 456.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 496.10 and Rs. 456.00 respectively. So far 70211 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 508.00 on 24-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 144.10 on 22-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 508.00 and Rs. 447.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1918.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.79%, while institutions and non-institutions held 11.37% and 29.84% respectively.

HEG has been granted an Indian Patent for an invention entitled 'A Process for making High Performance Graphite Nipple'. The patent has been issued by Intellectual Property India, Government of India, Patent Office in accordance with the provisions of the Patents Act, 1970. Going forward, this grant will definitely be in the overall interest of the business and sets a benchmark in graphite industry.

HEG is engaged in manufacturing of graphite electrodes, which are used by manufacturers of steel. The company's segments include Graphite, Power and Unallocable items/others.
