GAIL zooms on reporting around 4-fold jump in Q4 net profit

GAIL India is currently trading at Rs. 319.00, up by 12.70 points or 4.14% from its previous closing of Rs. 306.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 311.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 320.70 and Rs. 310.50 respectively. So far 197435 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 388.50 on 28-Dec-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 260.25 on 27-Jun-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 330.00 and Rs. 298.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 71891.66 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.96%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.08% and 4.97% respectively.

GAIL India has reported around 4-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 1020.92 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 as compared to Rs 260.16 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 11.06% at Rs 15706.27 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 14141.80 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017.

For the year ended March 31, 2018, the company has posted a rise of 31.84% in its net profit at Rs 4618.41 crore as compared to Rs 3502.91 crore for the previous year. Total income of company increased by 9.50% at Rs 54812.49 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 50059.26 crore for the year ended March 31, 2017.
