GAIL trades in green on the BSE

GAIL (India) is currently trading at Rs. 372.00, up by 0.05 points or 0.01% from its previous closing of Rs. 371.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 372.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 376.65 and Rs. 371.10 respectively. So far 64407 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 398.80 on 16-Aug-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 290.44 on 28-Sep-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 382.00 and Rs. 359.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 84520.06 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.34% and 4.32% respectively.

GAIL is planning to expand its pipeline network capacity by about 50% by constructing 5,500-kilometers of new lines in the next three years. The company is also looking at setting up 400 CNG stations and giving out a record 10 lakh piped natural gas (PNG) connections to household kitchens.

The company is rapidly building infrastructure to support the government push towards a gas-based economy by raising the share of natural gas in the energy basket to 15% from current 6.2%, in next few years.

GAIL India is India's principal Natural Gas Company with activities ranging from Gas Transmission and Marketing to Processing (for fractionating LPG, Propane, SBP Solvent and Pentane); transmission of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG); production and marketing of Petrochemicals like HDPE and LLDPE and leasing bandwidth in Telecommunications.
