Cummins India slips despite reporting marginal rise in Q4 net profit

Cummins India is currently trading at Rs. 712.25, down by 5.75 points or 0.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 718.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 712.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 719.50 and Rs. 696.75 respectively. So far 44120 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1043.80 on 25-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 670.95 on 28-Mar-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 747.00 and Rs. 696.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 19789.31 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.04% and 12.96% respectively.

Cummins India has reported a rise of 1.74% in its net profit at Rs 161.22 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 as compared to Rs 158.46 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 1.44% at Rs 1299.60 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1318.62 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017.

For the year ended March 31, 2018, the company has posted a fall of 3.56% in its net profit of Rs 708.47 crore as compared to Rs 734.63 crore for the previous year. Total income of company decreased by 4.39% at Rs 5389.53 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 5636.73 crore for the year ended March 31, 2017.
