Coal India rises on the BSE

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 233.30, up by 0.25 points or 0.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 233.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 233.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 233.70 and Rs. 233.00 respectively. So far 16011 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 316.55 on 27-Feb-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 228.50 on 10-Dec-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 238.10 and Rs. 232.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 144974.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.91%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.59% and 3.50% respectively.

Coal India is reportedly planning to put another 25-30 million tonnes (MT) of coal to auction in the ongoing January-March quarter (Q4). The company has been able to secure 54 MT of coal via e-auction till December as against 79 MT in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year, registering fall of 31.65%.

Coal India is the world's largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
