Ambuja Cements rises on securing Limestone Block at Nandgaon Ekodi

Ambuja Cements is currently trading at Rs. 252.20, up by 4.90 points or 1.98% from its previous closing of Rs. 247.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 252.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 253.00 and Rs. 251.20 respectively. So far 19,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 282.00 on 31-Aug-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 191.00 on 22-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 253.00 and Rs. 237.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 50,018.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.62%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.16% and 7.22% respectively.

Ambuja Cements has secured an estimated limestone resource of 42 million tonnes (MT) at a final bid price of 125.05% of value of mineral dispatched. The company had participated in the e-auction tender of limestone block for Nandgaon Ekodi Limestone block in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra by the State Government of Maharashtra.

Ambuja Cements is a part of a global conglomerate Holcim. The company has five integrated cement manufacturing plants and eight cement grinding units across the country.
