Vijaya Bank reports 58% jump in Q1 net profit

Vijaya Bank has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2017.

The Bank has reported 57.55% jump in its net profit at Rs 254.69 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 161.66 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 6.53% at Rs 3510.11 crore for Q1FY18 as compared Rs 3295.05 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank's gross NPA for the April-June quarter of the current fiscal improved marginally to 7.30%, as compared to 7.31% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank's Net NPA stood at 5.24% in Q1FY18.
