TVS Motor to introduce two new scooters in current year

TVS Motor has decided to introduce two new scooters in the current year and plans to enter into Indonesian scooter market with a new model. The automaker is also planning to launch diesel version of its auto rickshaw 'TVS King'.

With this new launches, the company aims to increase its market share to 22% in 12 months. Its present offerings in the scooter segments include Wego, Scooty Streak and Scooty Pep and two more will be added during the current year.

The company has registered a fall of 7.21% in its net profit at Rs 52.45 crore in Q3FY13 as compared to Rs 56.53 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year. The total income of the company has increased by 1.34% to Rs 1799.22 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1775.45 crore in the same quarter last year.
