Sri Nachammai Cotton Mills' Workers At Veeranam Unit Go On Strike (08-Feb-2012)
Sri Nachammai Cotton Mills' workers at Veeranam unit went on illegal strike on February 01, 2012. Last year in September, the company's workers at unit 5 resumed work with effect from September 06, 2011. The workers had gone on strike with effect from August 20, 2011 for wage settlement. The company has taken this unit on lease from Supreme Yarn Spinners.
Sri Nachammai Cotton Mills is a manufacturer of combed and carded Cotton Hosiery and hank yarn of counts ranging from 10s to 40s which are used by manufacturers to convert the same into fabric or garments for dyeing and export.
