Central Bank of India gets nod to raise up to Rs 6,500 crore

Central Bank of India has received approval from shareholders for raising up to Rs 6,500 crore from public offer. The shareholders have approved raising of capital up to the value of Rs 6,500 crore including premium by follow on public offer, rights issue and Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP). The shareholders have approved this in the annual general meeting held on June 30.

Central Bank of India holds a very prominent place among the Public Sector Banks on account of its network of 4730 Branches, 1 Extension counters, along with 10 Satellite Offices (as on February 2017) at various centres throughout the length and breadth of the country.
