RCom Launches Netbook With Embedded Wireless Broadband (13-Aug-2010)
Reliance Communications (RCom) along with Acer has launched a path-breaking Netbook with Embedded Wireless Broadband connectivity.
The solution, jointly devised by Acer and RCom for the Indian market, will help to get rid of the need of plugging any external device for internet access. Acer's latest Netbook, Aspire One532h, will come with inbuilt Reliance Netconnect Broadband Plus, worth Rs 2,198, offering high speed connectivity of upto 3.1 Mbps across 66 Indian cities and speeds upto 156 Kbps across 25,000 towns and 6 lakh Indian villages on Reliance's state-of-the-art CDMA network.
This newly launched Netbook, priced at Rs 19,499 each (taxes and levies extra), will offer multitude of attendant benefits like longer battery-life, tighter integration, security and lower TCO. The Netbook has been optimized for running rich media / heavy applications like video conferencing, video streaming, electronic surveillance, online multi-player games and heavy file transfers.
