Pantaloon Retail Reports 28 Jump In FY10 Net Profit (29-Aug-2010)
Pantaloon Retail (India) has posted a net profit of Rs 179.56 crore for the year ended June 30, 2010 against Rs 140.58 crore for the year ended June 30, 2009, up 27.73%. Its total income for the fiscal stood at Rs 6,019 crore, down 5.18% over Rs 6,347.76 crore for the previous financial year.
On consolidated basis, the group’s net profit for the year ended June 30, 2010 has gone up by 570.21% to Rs 67.49 crore from Rs 10.07 crore for the year ended June 30, 2009. Total income grew by 27.67% to Rs 9,913 crore during FY10 from Rs 7,764.80 crore for FY09.
Meanwhile, the results are not comparable as the schemes of arrangement between the company and Home Solutions Retail (India); and the company and Future Mall Management and its wholly owned subsidiary -- Future Merchandising -- were approved by the Bombay High Court on August 24, 2010 with effect from appointed date - April 01, 2010.
