HCL Technologies Hardens On Bagging New Order (22-Feb-2010)
HCL Technologies surged 0.51% to trade at Rs 363.5 as the company has signed a five-year IT infrastructure management contract with home appliances manufacturer- Electrolux.
Under this deal, HCL will support Electrolux''s workplace services that include proactive monitoring and management of network as well as servers, IT security and end-user computing environment in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia.
HCL Tech will deliver these services through its centres in India as well as Malaysia. Moreover, it will also provide multilingual helpdesk services in English as well as Vietnamese, Thai and Bahasa (Malaysia and Indonesia).
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.371.7 till now, as against the 52-week high of Rs.388.The stock hit a low of Rs.362 during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs.89.1 on March 12, 2009.
The stock opens at Rs.365 at BSE. The total traded volume of the scrip on BSE till now stood at 85387.

HCL Technologies Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 2554.40 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 3980.10 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008. Total Income has decreased from Rs 14304.60 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 to Rs 12592.20 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2009.
Moreover, on consolidated basis the Group has posted a net income of $ 63.8 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2009 as compared to $ 76.6 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008. Revenues has increased from $ 507.0 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 to $ 651.7 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2009.
