Apollo Tyres Resumes Operation At Perambra Plant Kerala (22-Aug-2010)
Apollo Tyres has now concluded 'Long Term Settlement with labours at the manufacturing facility at Perambra, Kerala and has resumed operations at company’s plant with effect from August 21, 2010.
The company had earlier, with effect from June 11,2010, declared a lock out at the company’s said manufacturing facility on account of labour unrest relating to long term settlement negotiations. As the workers had resorted to “go slow†as a pressure tactics for bargaining long term settlement.
Apollo Tyres currently produces the entire range of automotive tyres for ultra and high speed passenger cars, truck and bus, farm, Off-The-Road, industrial and specialty applications like mining, retreaded tyres and retreading material.
