Marico Reports 21% Rise In Q3 Net Profit (03-Feb-2012)
FMCG firm, Marico has reported a rise of 20.99% in consolidated net profit to Rs 84.11 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 69.52 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.
There are certain items included in financials of Q3 FY12 and Q3 FY11 that make the results of these two quarters non comparable.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 1,057.81 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011. It stood at Rs 817.73 crore in the same period previous fiscal, up by 29.36%.
On a standalone basis, the company posted a rise of 55.20% in net profit to Rs 87.36 crore for the third quarter. It stood at Rs 56.29 crore in the same period previous financial year.
