Ambuja Cements' January Dispatches Rises 6% (03-Feb-2012)
Ambuja Cements reported a rise of 5.68% in January 2012 cement dispatches at 19.17 lakh tonnes tons compared with 18.14 lakh tonnes in January 2011.
Meanwhile, the company's productions were at 19.09 lakh tonnes from 18.45 lakh tonnes, registering an increase of 3.47%.
The company's net profit for the September quarter surged by 12.75% at Rs 171.48 crore as compared to Rs 152.09 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Company's total Income increased by 17.18% at Rs 1890.77 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 1613.56 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
