Wipro’s Consolidated Q1 Net Soars 30 50 (22-Jul-2010)
IT major Wipro has reported a net profit of Rs 1,110 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 against Rs 1,197.90 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, down 7.34%. Meanwhile, its total income for the quarter under review stood at Rs 6,111 crore, up 13.52% over Rs 5,383.40 crore for the year ago period.
On consolidated basis, the group has posted a net profit of Rs 1,318.6 crore for the June 2010 quarter as compared to Rs 1,010.4 crore for the June 2009 quarter, up 30.50%. Total income grew by 16.17% to Rs 7,371.5 crore during reporting quarter from Rs 6,345.7 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
