Voltas Q1 Net Profit Rises By 14 81 (28-Jul-2010)
Voltas, one of India’s leading air-conditioning and engineering services providers, has reported results for the quarter ended June 30, 2010.
The company has reported a net profit of Rs 84.60 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 against Rs 73.69 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, up 14.81%. Its total income for the quarter under review stood at Rs 1,396.02 crore, rose 17.01% over Rs 1,193.09 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
On consolidated basis, the group has posted a net profit of Rs 93.24 crore for the June 2010 quarter as compared to Rs 78.94 crore for the June 2009 quarter, up 18.12%. The total income for the quarter increased by 13.06% to Rs 1,428.35 crore from Rs 1,263.33 crore for the same quarter of FY09.
In the month of June, Tata Sons, the holding company of the salt-to-software conglomerate Tata Group, had raised its stake in Voltas by 2% to 25.79% for a total consideration of Rs 117 crore.
