Tulip Telecom Rises On Reporting Profit Numbers For Q1 (09-Aug-2010)

Tulip Telecom is currently trading at Rs 185.90, up by 3.95 points or 2.17% from its previous closing of Rs 181.95 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 183.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs 187.00 and Rs 183.25 respectively. So far 45824 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 250.00 on 24-Aug-2009 and a 52 week low of Rs 158.40 on 03-May-2010.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 189.95 and Rs 180.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 2683.95 crore.

Tulip Telecom’s net profit has increased by 8.56% to Rs 64.18 crore as compared to Rs 59.12 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009.Its total income for the quarter has grown from Rs 454.09 crore for the previous year’s corresponding quarter to Rs 523.84 crore for the quarter under review.
On consolidated basis, the group’s net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 stood at Rs 64.15 crore as compared to Rs 59.09 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, up by 8.57%.Its total income has also increased to Rs 523.84 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 454.09 crore for the quarter a period ago.
