Wheat futures declined on lack of buying interest

Wheat futures declined on lack of buying interest at spot market on expectations of higher production. Ample supply in the major mandis as well as strong production estimates for the current year mainly lowered the prices.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 1576.00, down by 0.63% or Rs 10.00 from its previous closing of Rs 1586.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2250.00 lots.
